Cost figures on the site are published averages, each labeled with its source and year, and the cost calculator gives a planning range only. A real price comes from a roofer's written estimate after the roof has been seen in person.

Summaries of Iowa law and local permit rules are simplified on purpose. The official text, and the office that enforces it, always control, so confirm anything that matters with that office or with a lawyer.

The site does not employ, endorse or guarantee any roofer. No city, county, state agency or company mentioned on the site works with it or recommends it.
